Unified Membership is open to a current or former director, assistant director, supervisor, or coordinator in Indiana who is also a member of the National Associations CEC and CASE.

Unified membership includes membership with Membership with Indiana Council of Administrators of Special Education (ICASE), Council for Exceptional Children (CEC), and Council of Administrators of Special Education (CASE). Unified members not only have access to ICASE membership benefits but also have access to benefits offered by CEC and CASE.

ICASE Only Membership

$205 / year

ICASE Only Membership is open to a current or former director, assistant director, supervisor, or coordinator in Indiana who has chosen not to affiliate with CEC and CASE.

Benefits include:

  • Serve as subcommittee chair or co-chair
  • Receive general information from the organization
  • Attend ICASE activities

ICASE Only members may not hold office, chair or co-chair Executive Standing Committees or task forces, or serve as a Roundtable representative to the Executive Board.

Aspiring Membership

$50 / year

Aspiring Membership is open to an individual who is not an administrator and is enrolled in a graduate program leading to a Director of Exceptional Needs License.

Benefits include:

  • Roundtable membership

  • Attend ICASE Fall and Spring Conferences at a reduced rate of $150 per conference

Aspiring members may not vote, hold office, chair or co-chair Executive Standing Committees or task forces, or serve as a Roundtable representative to the Executive Board.

Associate Membership is open to any other professional fields related to the practice of special education leadership, but not eligible for another class of membership.

Retiree Membership

Retiree Membership is open to individuals who were previously a member of ICASE, have retired, and are not currently working in the educational field.

Dues payments are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Contributions or gifts to ICASE are not tax deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes. However, dues payments (except for specific governmental affairs expenses) may be deductible as a professional or business expense to the extent allowable by law. 20 percent of these dues is non-deductible as it relates to a governmental affairs expense.
