Regional round tables meet monthly (and sometimes more) to collaborate and learn from one another. Come together with professionals from across the state who are serving students in a variety of capacities at the Fall and Spring ICASE Conferences.
Roundtable reps meet monthly with the IN Director of Special Education, and other DOE specialists often attend roundtable meetings. Take the opportunity to act as a liaison for one of Indiana’s Resource Networks (IRNs).
Represent your region by participating or chairing one of the many committees. Opportunities are available to be a leader amongst your peers.
ICASE members receive exclusive communications on timely issues related to special education.
Collaborate with professionals across the state and have opportunities to share what is happening in your schools with the DOE directly. ICASE provides a platform for your voice to be heard by a larger audience.
ICASE offers affordable professional development opportunities several times a year for members and their staff. Be in the know about current research, best practices, legal issues, and legislation by attending one of ICASE’s conferences or topical meetings.
ICASE’s Governmental Affairs committee meets with lawmakers regularly and provides you with the tools and information you need to reach out to your local lawmakers to be an advocate in your community.
The DOE often seeks input from ICASE as it is developing new procedures or implementing new projects. Know what’s happening as it is coming down the pipe.
